Being a mom puts you in the position to be responsible for another human being(s). It is an important job that comes with a lot of expectations. You are expected to bathe your kids with prayers, stand watch over them and wait on God to birth and fulfil his purposes for their lives.
As a believer in Christ Jesus, the most important battle you will ever fight is spiritual. We do not only face external forces but also the thoughts and passions within us that may cause us to stray from the path of righteousness. The essence of waging a warfare is to bring to bear the purposes of God and thwart that of the enemy.
You will not go for a long time without a spiritual battle coming your way. This is why God has given us his word. Jeremiah 23:29 says, 'Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?' Praying his word back to him releases power on our behalf that gives us victory.
15 Warfare Scripture Verses
1. Jeremiah 20:11 - But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
2. Psalms 18:14 - Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
3. Isaiah 8:10 - Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
4. Jeremiah 23:19 - Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
5. Haggai 2:22 - And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen, and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
6. Isaiah 25:7 - And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
7. Nehemiah 4:4 - Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity.
8. Psalms 35:8 - Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
9. Psalms 9:15 - The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
10. Isaiah 49:24-26 - Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
11. Jeremiah 51:20 - Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.
12. Psalms 109:17 - As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
13. Proverbs 11:8 - The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
14. Psalms 70:2-3 - Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that says, Aha, aha.
15. Zechariah 9:8 - And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
